Enable Gemini in Gmail

Activate the Gemini assistant if your Google Workspace account supports this feature.

Go to Gmail, click the Gemini icon in the top right corner of the inbox, select 'Enable assistant' if it is not activated.

If you do not see the icon, check if your current Google Workspace plan includes Gemini for Workspace.

Use Gemini to quickly summarize the content of a long email thread with multiple exchanges.

Open the email to summarize, click 'Summarize this email' in the Gemini panel on the right to receive a summary of the key points.

Use Gemini combined with Google search to quickly look up necessary information while composing content.

Open gemini.google.com, ask directly about news, competitors, or data needed for work, and request source citation.

Always double-check the citations provided by Gemini before using the data in official documents.

Create a Daily Routine

Build a habit of using Gemini at the beginning and end of the workday to effectively handle your inbox.

Schedule 15 minutes at the start of the morning to use Gemini to summarize pending emails, and 15 minutes at the end of the day to draft replies for the following day.
