Install Wordtune Extension

Add Wordtune to your browser for use everywhere you type text.

Go to Chrome Web Store, search for 'Wordtune', click Add to Chrome, and log in to your account.

Install the Wordtune add-on for Google Docs if you often draft long documents there.

Write Your First Draft Naturally

Type your content as you want first, without worrying about perfect grammar right away.

Compose an email or paragraph in English in Gmail or Google Docs in your own way.

Don’t edit while typing, just write everything down first, then go back to refine with Wordtune.

Highlight and Choose Rewrite Suggestions

Select each sentence that needs improvement and see the options that Wordtune suggests.

Highlight a sentence, click the Wordtune icon that appears, and select a tone such as Formal, Casual, Shorten, or Expand that fits.

Try different tones for the same sentence to choose the version that reflects your intentions best.

Review Everything Before Sending

Read through the entire text after applying suggestions to ensure consistency.

Skim through from start to finish, checking if the revised sentences match the unchanged sentences.

For important emails, ask a colleague to read through one last time before sending.
