Identify the central question for Elicit to find the relevant research groups.

Enter a specific question in the search box, for example, "What factors influence online purchase intention among young consumers?".

Avoid overly broad questions as they will return a list of papers not directly related to the report's needs.

Select Relevant Papers from the List

Quickly review the list of results to eliminate unrelated papers.

View the title and abstract of each paper in the results, deselect papers that do not fit the research scope.

Prioritize keeping papers that have been published recently and have high citation counts.

Define Data Columns for Extraction

Customize the fields of information you want Elicit to automatically extract from each paper.

Add custom columns such as "Sample Size", "Research Methodology", "Key Results" to the analysis table.

Make column questions very specific (e.g., "What is the sample size of the study?") for more accurate AI extraction.

Export the Data Table to a Work File

Download the summary table for further analysis or inclusion in the report.

Click Export to download the data table in CSV format or directly copy it to the report document.

Keep the source link column of each paper for easy reference later.

Cross-Check Against the Source

Verify some key extracted results with the original content of the paper.

Go back to the 3-5 most important papers and compare the data in the table with the actual content in the paper.

Prioritize thoroughly checking papers that have results contrary to the general trend to avoid incorrect citations.
